2024 in Southeastern Pennsylvania
For our Annual Gathering in 2024 we gathered in Southeastern Pennsylvania over the extended Memorial Day weekend where we were hosted on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday by the Pennsylvania Live Steamers during their annual Spring Meet.
On Monday, Memorial Day, we gathered at Rob Kuhlman's house for an extended period of running, chatting, and eating before departing for home.

Here's a visual summary of what took place:
First to run was the 'official' Annual Gathering train featuring the 16 NGM of NA brake van scratch built by Joel Novis. A photo of its interior appears below showing the operating brake stand. Ahead of the brake van is Jack Wheldon's coal wagon which runs each year at this event. The loco is a much-modified Mamod featuring MSR, Sidestreet Bannerworks, and IP components.
Dan Fuller refills the side tanks on his modified Archangel Rheidol. This venerable locomotive ran like a dream.
Stan Richmond and Gary Francke with an assortment of interesting locomotives.
Two examples of the Roundhouse Basic Series 'Bertie'. The red one is an early one purchased by Jerry Reshew who had it lined by Geoff Monday.
A coal-burning John Shawe Roundhouse Katie. This particular loco was a prize winner several years ago at the 16mil AGM.
Mike McCormack modified an Accucraft W.D. Baldwin into an American-outline tender locomotive.
Ryan Bednarik had an outstanding heritage loco -- the Glyn Valley Tram produced by Robin Gosling. Below you'll see some closeups of its fascinating drive.
Nick Wilson ran his Accucraft Groudle Glen Railway 'Sea Lion' with some delightful passenger carriages.
Dan Fuller ran this Accucraft Dora which has been 'upscaled' to 7/8ths.
...and last but certainly not least we see Mark Layton's EBT #12. Let this loco be a hint of our plans for the 2025 Annual Gathering.
