Accommodations
To start off I recommend that you take a look at this Directory of Lodging Alternatives which has been compiled by the FEBT. As you can see there are a lot of entries and they're arranged in order of increasing distance from Rockhill. Many are small with limited capacity, several may indeed be on their last breaths of viability, several may be over-the-top in luxury, and several are recognizable, and predictable, as national franchises.
As of January 2025 I have little awareness of the best options for lodging. I fully expect that with over two hundred attendees for the FEBT Reunion in the area that many better value local hotels may be booked before we would get around to making reservations -- I'm sure word 'gets around' within the FEBT Reunion community from one year to the next. I do know that several folks with whom I've spoken who have attended past Reunions have stayed in franchise hotels in Huntingdon. That's not a recommendation; it's just a statement of what has worked for some in the past. At this point I'm disinclined to do extensive research and explore a special rate for a designated 'group hotel' -- that didn't work particularly well when we had our Annual Gathering at the WW&F in 2023. If there are any of you who have any experience with lodging near the EBT who have something to share based upon that experience I'd invite you to contact me and share your recommendations, positive or negative. I'd be happy to share them with pre-registrants with no names attached. It can't be any less reliable than most online reviews!
